Christian Version of Jewish Temple Services - Morning Service 9:00AM
Modified Christian Temple-Inspired Liturgy
Morning Service (9:00 AM) (the 3rd hour in which Christ was nailed to the cross)
1. Call to Worship
✝️ Morning Call to Worship – “Who May Ascend?”
(Inspired by Psalm 24 with fulfillment in Christ)
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
the world and all who dwell in it.
For He has founded it upon the seas,
and established it upon the rivers. (Psalm 24:1–2)
Who may ascend the hill of the Lord?
Who may stand in His holy place?
He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to what is false
or swear deceitfully. (Psalm 24:3–4)
Lord, we come not by our own righteousness,
but by the blood of Jesus,
the new and living way through the veil—His body. (Hebrews 10:19–20)
Create in us clean hearts, O God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within us.
Wash us, and we shall be whiter than snow. (Psalm 51:10, 7)
We offer our bodies as living sacrifices,
holy and acceptable to You—
this is our spiritual act of worship. (Romans 12:1)
Who is this King of Glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,
the Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, O gates!
Be lifted, O ancient doors!
That the King of Glory may come in. (Psalm 24:7–8)
Jesus Christ is the radiance of God’s glory,
the exact imprint of His nature.
Through Him all things were made,
and in Him all things hold together. (Hebrews 1:3; Colossians 1:17)
In the morning, O Lord, You hear our voice.
We lay our requests before You
and wait in expectation. (Psalm 5:3)
Your Word is a lamp to our feet
and a light to our path.
We delight in Your Word, O God,
and meditate on it day and night. (Psalm 119:105; Joshua 1:8)
The Lord is in His holy temple—
let all the earth be silent before Him. (Habakkuk 2:20)
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!
Glory in the highest. (Psalm 150:6; Luke 19:38)

Incense Offering (Optional)
🕯️ Incense Lighting Prayer – Based on Psalm 141:2
“Let my prayer rise before You as incense, the lifting of my hands as the evening sacrifice. Lord, as this smoke rises, may my worship, thanksgiving, and intercession ascend to Your throne. Purify my heart, and let my life be a pleasing aroma to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
✝️ Christian Yotzer Or ("Blessing of the Creator of Light")
Blessed are You, Lord our God,
Creator of light and Giver of life.
You spoke, and light shone into the darkness;
by Your Word, all things were made.
You cause the sun to rise on the just and the unjust,
and Your mercies are new every morning.
In Your Son, Jesus Christ,
You have given us the true light that gives light to every man.
He is the dawn from on high who breaks upon us—
to guide our feet into the path of peace.
Enlighten our minds with Your truth,
fill our hearts with Your Spirit,
and make our lives shine with Your glory.
Blessed are You, Lord,
who forms the light, defeats the darkness,
and shines in our hearts the light of the knowledge
of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
✝️ Christian Ahava Rabbah (“Great Love”)
With great love You have loved us,
Lord our God, our Father through Jesus Christ.
You have shown us mercy,
and drawn us near by Your Spirit.
Through Christ, You have given us grace and truth,
and through Your Word, You have made us wise unto salvation.
Teach us to walk in Your ways.
Open our eyes to Your Word;
unite our hearts to fear Your Name.
Place Your Spirit within us,
so that we may love what is good,
turn from what is evil,
and live as children of light.
Let us rejoice always in Your love,
which is from everlasting to everlasting.
Blessed are You, Lord,
who has loved us with a perfect love,
and who leads us in paths of righteousness
through Jesus the Messiah, our Savior and King.
2. Recitation of the Shema
📍 1. God Is One and We Are to Love Him Fully
(based on Deuteronomy 6:4–9 & Mark 12:29–30)
Hear, O people of God: The LORD is our God, the LORD is the only One. There is no other. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. These words are to be written on your heart. Speak of them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house, when you walk along the road, when you lie down, and when you rise. Let them guide your hands and fill your thoughts. Let them be present in your homes, and written on your lives.
1. Deuteronomy 6:4–9
Hear, O Israel: The LORD is our God, the LORD is the only one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be upon your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall speak of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
📍 2. Abide in Obedience and Trust God's Provision
(based on Deuteronomy 11:13–21 & John 15:4–10)
If you listen diligently to the voice of the Lord, and walk in the way of His Son Jesus Christ, He will cause your life to flourish like a well-watered garden. Abide in Him, and He will abide in you. Apart from Him, you can do nothing. Keep His words close, teach them to your children, and let them be ever on your lips—in your homes, your travels, your resting, and your rising. Then your days and the days of your children will be rich in His peace and presence, as long as the heavens are above the earth.
2. Deuteronomy 11:13–21
And if you will indeed obey My commandments that I command you today, to love the LORD your God and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul, He will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain and your wine and your oil. And He will give grass in your fields for your livestock, and you shall eat and be full. Take care lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them; then the anger of the LORD will be kindled against you, and He will shut up the heavens, so that there will be no rain, and the land will yield no fruit, and you will perish quickly off the good land that the LORD is giving you.
You shall therefore lay up these words of Mine in your heart and in your soul, and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, that your days and the days of your children may be multiplied in the land that the LORD swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the heavens are above the earth.
📍 3. Remember Who You Belong To
(inspired by Numbers 15:41 & 1 Peter 2:9–10; Titus 2:11–14)
You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Remember that you are not your own—you were bought with a price. Christ redeemed you from lawlessness, and has purified you to be His own, zealous for good works. I am the LORD your God—who brought you out of slavery into freedom, from sin into life. Walk worthy of this calling.
3. Numbers 15:37–41
The LORD said to Moses, “Speak to the people of Israel, and tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a cord of blue on the tassel of each corner. And it shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the LORD, to do them, not to follow after your own heart and your own eyes, which you are inclined to whore after. So you shall remember and do all My commandments, and be holy to your God. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God: I am the LORD your God.”
✝️ Christian Emet Veyatziv (“True and Certain”)
True and certain is Your Word, Lord our God.
Your promises are sure,
Your mercy endures forever,
and all Your ways are just and good.
You have redeemed us through Jesus Christ,
the Lamb without blemish,
who took away the sin of the world.
You brought us out of darkness and bondage—
not with silver or gold,
but with the precious blood of Your Son.
You are faithful in all generations,
and Your covenant stands forever.
Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne.
Truth and steadfast love go before You.
You split the sea of our despair,
You brought us through the waters into life.
Blessed are You, Lord, Redeemer and King,
who keeps His Word,
and whose faithfulness is from everlasting to everlasting.
